Just Be You. Life gets easier when you do.
I've done it more than once — gotten caught up in a version of life that looked right on paper but felt completely wrong underneath.
👉 You know the one. You're moving fast, checking boxes, building something that looks impressive from the outside. And somewhere in the middle of all of it, you forget to ask whether any of it is actually you.
The exhausting part isn't the work. It's the performance. Showing up every day as a version of yourself that doesn't quite fit — like wearing shoes that are almost your size. You can walk in them. But not for long, and not without it costing you something.
I've been shaken awake by life more times than I can count.
And every single time, it's taken nearly everything I had with it.
The safety.
The plan.
The thing I thought I was building.
And every single time — on the other side of that — I found something I hadn't expected: myself.
The Illusion of Safe
We reach for safety like it's a destination. Like if we just get the right job, the right relationship, the right version of success — we'll finally be able to exhale.
But here's what I've learned the hard way: safety isn't really a place. It's a feeling we keep chasing because we're afraid of what happens if we stop.
I don't know that anything in this life is truly, permanently safe. And I say that not to scare you — but because once I stopped pretending it was, something shifted. I stopped white-knuckling the plan and started actually living.
This existence is a wild ride. Wilder than anything a theme park can offer. 😂 And at some point, you just have to decide you're going to ride it.
What Happens When You Stop Chasing
There's this thing that happens when you stop trying to be who everyone expects you to be. Ideas start flowing again. You feel like you're in the right place — not because everything is perfect, but because you feel right inside of it.
That's the version of you I'm talking about. The one that doesn't need to perform. The one that just is.
When you're truly being yourself, life doesn't necessarily get easier — but it gets clearer. You stop second-guessing every move because you're not trying to fit a mold that was never made for you. You start making decisions from the inside out instead of the outside in.
Forward Stepping. Even Small.
I'm not going to tell you it's a straight line. It's not. Some days the "just be you" version of life is a big, bold move. And some days it's just getting up and doing one small thing that feels true to who you are.
That's enough. Honestly, that's everything.
I have this stubborn, probably irrational faith that things work out exactly as they're supposed to — as long as I keep doing my part. Forward stepping. Even when it's small. Even when it's slow. Even when I have no idea where I'm going.
Because the direction matters more than the speed. And the direction is always: more of who you already are.

This Is What I Wish For You
I don't have a formula for this. No five-step plan, no morning routine that unlocks your true self. What I have is a lot of lived experience, a few hard resets, and a genuine belief that the most powerful thing any of us can do is stop pretending to be someone we're not.
You don't need to be fixed. You don't need to be more polished, more productive, more anything. You just need to be you — honestly, fully, without apology.
That's where the good stuff lives.
A Small Thing That Helps
I built Ella Vatoür because I believe the tools we reach for every day should support who we actually are — not who we're trying to be. The Evolütion Series was designed around that idea: that scent can help you come back to yourself when life gets loud.
If you're curious, the Evolütion Series Discovery Set is $15 and includes all five essential oil blends. It's a good place to start.
Love Note 💜💫
