Positive pro-aging care for softer, smoother, more luminous-looking skin.

I wanted to create a face oil that felt like an upgrade—not another complicated step.

ILLUME is a concentrated botanical formula powered by bakuchiol and a thoughtfully balanced blend of plant oils. It helps soften the appearance of fine lines, smooth the look of uneven texture, and support lasting moisture while leaving skin with a healthy, luminous glow.

Rich enough to comfort dry, changing skin. Balanced enough to settle beautifully without that heavy, greasy feeling that gives face oils a bad reputation.

Some nights your skin may want a little more. Other weeks, a few drops may be all it needs.

ILLUME gives you the flexibility to follow your skin and keep your routine smart, simple, and beautifully effective.

A few drops. Months of use. Plenty of glow.

Why ILLUME?

As we (gracefully) get older, our skin naturally becomes drier, less supple, and slower to hold onto moisture.

That’s where ILLUME comes in.

This ultra-nourishing botanical face oil combines bakuchiol with a thoughtfully balanced blend of plant oils to give changing skin exactly what it needs—and nothing it doesn’t—for your own Good Vibe Glow.

What ILLUME Does for You:

✔ Softens the Look of Fine Lines
Bakuchiol and nutrient-rich botanical oils help support smoother, more supple-looking skin.

✔ Smooths and Softens Your Skin
Just a few drops help condition dry skin and improve the look of uneven texture.

✔ Brings Back Your Glow
ILLUME helps seal in moisture and leaves your complexion looking healthy, luminous, and beautifully cared for.

✔ Supports Skin as It Changes
Positive pro-aging skincare that works with the skin you have—not against your age.

What's In This?

ILLUME is a concentrated, waterless face oil made with bakuchiol and a carefully balanced blend of botanical oils selected to moisturize, condition, and support softer, smoother-looking skin.

Ingredients: Pomegranate Oil, Cucumber Seed Oil, Prickly Pear Oil, Carrot Seed Oil, Sunflower Seed Oil, Evening Primrose Oil, Seaweed Oil, Rosehip Oil, Tamanu Oil, Jojoba Oil, Argan Oil, Black Currant Seed Oil, Bakuchiol, Bulgarian Rose Oil, Blue Tansy Oil, Lotus Oil.

No artificial or synthetic fragrance is added.

Because ILLUME is handcrafted with natural botanical ingredients, its color and aroma may vary slightly from batch to batch. That is completely normal and part of working with real plants.

How Do I Use This?

Please remember: A little bit goes a long way.

Start with just two or three drops.

Press ILLUME into clean skin over your face, neck, and décolletage. For even more moisture support, apply it after a facial mist or while your skin is still slightly damp.

Use it in the evening, during the day beneath sunscreen and makeup, or whenever your skin feels dry, dull, or depleted.

Some people use ILLUME nightly. Others use it a few times a week or even once a week.

Follow your skin. There are no complicated rules.

A little goes a long way, so start with less than you think you need.

How long will this 15ml bottle last?

With regular use, a full-size 15 mL bottle of ILLUME should last approximately five to six months.

How long it lasts will depend on how frequently you use it and how many drops you apply. If you only reach for ILLUME a few times a week, your bottle may last even longer.

There is no need to use a full dropper. Two or three drops are usually enough for the face, with one additional drop for the neck and décolletage.

More About ILLUME

Is ILLUME an anti-aging face oil?

Let me step onto my soapbox for a second: we prefer the term positive pro-aging.

“Anti-aging” is a tired marketing phrase. We are all aging—and that is not something we should be taught to fear so large beauty companies can sell us more products to fight time itself.

Okay. Thank you. I feel better now.

ILLUME was not created to erase your age or make your skin look the way it did decades ago. It was created to support softer, smoother, more luminous-looking skin as it naturally changes.

The goal is not to go backward. It is to care beautifully for the skin you have now—and enjoy the glow that comes with it.

What skin types can use ILLUME?

ILLUME can work beautifully for dry, normal, combination, and changing skin because the amount and frequency are easy to adjust.

Drier skin may enjoy it more often, while combination or oilier skin may prefer fewer drops or less frequent use.

Every complexion responds differently to botanical oils, so begin slowly and patch test before your first full application—especially if your skin is highly reactive.

Will ILLUME leave my skin feeling greasy?

ILLUME is concentrated, so the amount you use matters.

When a few drops are pressed into clean skin, it should leave your complexion feeling soft, conditioned, and comfortable—not covered in oil.

Using more will not necessarily give you better results. Start small and give the formula a moment to settle.

Can I use ILLUME with ENCHANT Eye Serum?

Yes.

Apply ENCHANT around the eye area first. Follow with ILLUME over your face, neck, and décolletage, avoiding direct contact with the eyes.

Both formulas contain bakuchiol, but they were created for different areas and purposes. ENCHANT is specifically formulated for the delicate eye area, while ILLUME supports the rest of the face and neck.

Can I use ILLUME with ELEVATE Tallow Face Balm?

Absolutely.

Apply ILLUME first and allow it to settle. Follow with a small amount of ELEVATE wherever you want richer moisture and additional barrier support.

You can also alternate them—ILLUME on some nights and ELEVATE on others. Your routine does not need to be complicated to be effective.

Can I use ILLUME with RADIATE Rose Facial Mist?

Yes. They work beautifully together.

Mist clean skin with RADIATE, then press in a few drops of ILLUME while your complexion is still slightly damp.

RADIATE provides lightweight hydration, while ILLUME helps soften the skin and seal that moisture in.

Can I use ILLUME with a gua sha tool?

Yes.

Apply enough ILLUME to give the tool a comfortable glide across the skin without pulling or dragging.

Begin with a few drops and add another only where needed.

Can I use ILLUME to remove makeup?

Yes—as a bonus use.

ILLUME can help loosen foundation and other face makeup. Apply illume to a cotton round and wipe away your makeup. follow up with rinsing with a wash cloth and water. Apply cleanser should you choose.

Avoid direct contact with the eyes. ILLUME’s primary purpose remains positive pro-aging facial care and concentrated botanical moisture.

Can I try ILLUME before purchasing the full size?

Yes.

A 1 mL sample is available so you can experience ILLUME’s texture, natural botanical aroma, and how it feels on your skin before committing to the full-size bottle.

Meet the Ingredients in ILLUME

Because transparency matters just as much as your glow.

ILLUME is not one basic oil poured into a beautiful bottle.

It is a thoughtfully balanced blend of lightweight, nutrient-rich, and deeply conditioning botanical oils—finished with bakuchiol and purposeful aromatic botanicals.

Each ingredient has a reason for being here.

  • Rich nourishment for supple-looking skin.

Pomegranate oil is a lush botanical oil that helps condition dryness and support a soft, resilient-looking complexion.

Why it’s here: To bring richness, comfort, and visible radiance to the formula.

  • Lightweight moisture with a luminous finish.

Prickly pear oil feels silky and luxurious without adding unnecessary heaviness. It helps soften dry skin and support a smooth, naturally radiant appearance.

Why it’s here: To give changing skin moisture and glow without a thick, greasy finish.

  • Lightweight moisture-barrier support.

Sunflower seed oil is naturally rich in linoleic acid and helps condition the skin while supporting softness and moisture retention.

Its lighter texture also helps ILLUME spread easily and settle comfortably.

Why it’s here: To provide lightweight conditioning and create a smoother, more balanced formula.

  • Supports smoother, more luminous-looking skin.

Rosehip seed oil contains naturally occurring fatty acids and antioxidants that help condition dry skin and support a softer, more even-looking complexion.

Why it’s here: To support visible smoothness, softness, and radiance as skin changes.

  • Lightweight moisture with a silky feel.

Cucumber seed oil has a light, smooth texture that helps soften and condition the skin without making the formula feel heavy.

Why it’s here: To balance ILLUME’s richer oils and give the formula its elegant glide.

  • Botanical support for visible radiance.

Carrot seed oil helps condition dull, depleted-looking skin and supports a healthy, naturally luminous complexion.

Why it’s here: To bring antioxidant support and additional glow to the botanical blend.

  • Softness, suppleness, and lasting comfort.

Argan oil is naturally rich in fatty acids and vitamin E. It helps condition dry skin and support a softer, more supple-looking complexion.

Why it’s here: To add lasting softness without making ILLUME feel overly thick.

  • Rich comfort for dry, stressed-looking skin.

Tamanu is a deeply conditioning botanical oil that helps dry or depleted-feeling skin feel softer, more comfortable, and cared for.

Why it’s here: To give ILLUME additional richness and restorative-feeling moisture.

  • Marine-derived conditioning for depleted skin.

Seaweed oil brings a rich, replenishing quality to ILLUME and helps condition skin that feels dry, dull, or less comfortable than usual.

Why it’s here: To support softness and give the botanical blend an additional layer of moisture.

  • Fatty-acid-rich support for softness and suppleness.

Black currant seed oil contains naturally occurring fatty acids, including gamma-linolenic acid, or GLA. It helps condition dry skin and support a soft, supple feel.

Why it’s here: To give changing skin additional comfort and moisture support.

  • Comfort for dry, changing skin.

Evening primrose oil is also naturally rich in GLA and other fatty acids. It helps condition dryness and support skin that feels softer and more comfortable.

Why it’s here: To reinforce ILLUME’s positive pro-aging moisture support without adding heaviness.

  • Plant-derived positive pro-aging support.

Bakuchiol helps soften the appearance of fine lines while supporting smoother, more even-looking skin—without retinol.

It is the focused positive pro-aging ingredient at the heart of ILLUME.

Why it’s here: To help changing skin look smoother, more refined, and beautifully cared for.

  • Soothing support for stressed-looking skin.

Bulgarian rose is valued for its antioxidant and soothing properties. It helps support a calmer, more comfortable-looking complexion while adding a soft, naturally floral character to ILLUME.

It was chosen for the skin experience—not simply to make the formula smell pretty.

Why it’s here: To help soothe the look and feel of stressed skin while supporting a soft, beautifully cared-for complexion.

  • Chamazulene-rich support for stressed-looking skin.

Blue tansy gets its distinctive color from chamazulene, a naturally occurring botanical component valued for its antioxidant and soothing properties.

It helps support skin that looks and feels calmer, especially when it is dry, uncomfortable, or visibly stressed.

Blue tansy was chosen for the purposeful components it brings to the formula—not simply for its beautiful color or botanical aroma.

Why it’s here: To bring soothing, chamazulene-rich support and help skin feel calm, comfortable, and beautifully cared for.

  • One drop. Pure intention.

A single drop of lotus is added to ILLUME as a symbol of resilience, growth, and the beauty that can emerge through every season of life.

It is not there to lead the formula or define the aroma. It is there because the lotus is part of the heart of Ella Vatoür—and sometimes one small detail can carry a whole lot of meaning.

Why it’s here: To add one quiet note of intention to the blend.

Face Oil + Bakuchiol Frequently Asked Questions

What is bakuchiol?

Bakuchiol is a plant-derived skincare ingredient used to support smoother-looking texture, a more even-looking complexion, and a softened appearance of fine lines.

It gives ILLUME focused positive pro-aging benefits while fitting easily into a smart, uncomplicated skincare routine. You can also read an article about bakuchiol in the Exchangege by clicking here.

Is bakuchiol the same as retinol?

No. Bakuchiol and retinol are different ingredients.

They are often discussed together because both are commonly used in products designed to improve the visible appearance of fine lines, texture, and uneven-looking tone.

ILLUME uses bakuchiol as part of its all-natural botanical oil formula. It does not contain retinol

What does a face oil actually do?

A well-formulated face oil helps condition and soften the skin, support suppleness, and reduce the loss of existing moisture.

It can be especially helpful when skin feels dry, tight, dull, or less comfortable than usual.

The right face oil should leave your skin feeling cared for—not simply make it look shiny.

Does face oil hydrate the skin?

Oil and hydration are connected, but they are not exactly the same.

Water-based products provide hydration. A face oil helps soften the skin and seal in the moisture that is already there.

That is why applying ILLUME after a facial mist or to slightly damp skin can be especially effective.

Is face oil the same as moisturizer?

Not exactly.

A traditional moisturizer may contain water, humectants, oils, butters, or a combination of these. A face oil provides concentrated oil-based conditioning and helps reduce moisture loss.

Some people find that ILLUME is all they need. Others enjoy layering it with a richer moisturizer such as ELEVATE.

Should face oil go before or after moisturizer?

It depends on the texture of the moisturizer.

With a rich balm such as ELEVATE, apply ILLUME first and let it settle before adding the balm.

With a lightweight water-based moisturizer, apply the moisturizer first and finish with a small amount of ILLUME to help seal in moisture.

A simple rule is to apply products from the lightest texture to the richest.

Can face oil clog pores?

Any skincare ingredient can behave differently from one complexion to another.

A balanced face oil used in a small amount may work beautifully for many skin types, but no formula can promise to be ideal for everyone.

Begin with one or two drops, patch test first, and pay attention to how your skin responds.

Why would I use face oil if my skin already produces oil?

The natural oil produced by your skin and a carefully formulated botanical face oil are not the same thing.

Your skin can produce oil and still feel dehydrated, tight, or depleted. ILLUME provides a specific blend of botanical oils designed to condition the skin and support a softer, smoother-looking complexion.

The key is choosing the right formula and using the right amount.

Is face oil good for mature or changing skin?

It can be especially useful as skin becomes drier, less supple, or less able to hold onto moisture.

Botanical face oils help condition the skin, support softness, and create a more luminous-looking finish.

ILLUME also includes bakuchiol for added support with the visible appearance of fine lines and uneven-looking texture.
